Your roles

A role groups your jobs into one line of work, named from Europe's list of occupations. What a reader sees, and how certo's AI interview verifies it.

1 minute read

Your job titles change from one employer to the next. A role groups them into one line of work: Analyst, Senior Analyst and Lead Analyst become one role, Data analyst, 7 years. Employers see the role first, with its jobs under it.

Add a role

On Roles, tick the jobs that belong together, then pick one name for them from ESCO, the European Commission's list of occupations. certo suggests the occupations your job titles name; you can also search. Each job sits in one role, and you can also choose it on the job in Work & education.

What a reader sees

Your page shows each role with its jobs and the years they cover, worked out from the jobs' dates. A role is your claim and is marked Claimed. The years are derived from your jobs, never verified on their own.

Verified by an AI interview

certo's AI interview can verify a role, against the published rubric for that occupation. Once it does, the role shows as Verified, with the interview inside it: the seniority it assessed, the result out of 5, its certificate and the rubric it was scored against. You can still change which jobs are in a verified role; what the interview confirmed stays as it was.

Who sees it

Anyone who opens your page sees each role, its jobs and its years. The interview's result and certificate open only for the companies you approve: the pill on Roles says Anyone · interview result on approval.
