Who we are

certo.bio is run by FreshMint ai OÜ, a private limited company registered in the Estonian e-Business Register under code 16904979, at Sepapaja tn 6, 11415 Tallinn, Estonia. Write to us at support@certo.bio.

What certo.bio is

A verified passport: a record of facts about you that you hold and publish at certo.bio/your-name. certo checks your identity with an identity provider, and asks the organisations you name to confirm your jobs and your education.

Each line of a passport shows what was checked and by whom. A line nobody confirmed stays marked as Claimed. certo records what an organisation confirmed; it does not promise that what they said is true, and a certificate says exactly what it covers.

Your account

One account is one person. Give true details, and keep the codes we e-mail you to yourself: anyone with them can act as you.

Do not use certo to pretend to be someone else, to add records that are not yours, to ask organisations about a person without their consent, or to copy passports or the service in bulk. We may suspend an account that does, and tell you why.

The €9.90 year

The year costs €9.90. The price you pay, with any VAT, is shown at checkout before you pay. It covers your identity check, verification of your work and education, and free reading of your passport for every employer you approve.

The year renews each year at the price then shown, unless you cancel. You can cancel from your account at any time; the year you paid for runs to its end.

Your right of withdrawal

If you live in the EU, you normally have 14 days from paying to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason.

The year starts at once. When you pay, you ask us to begin straight away and confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once your identity check has been carried out.

Until then, you can withdraw within the 14 days by writing to support@certo.bio. We refund what you paid within 14 days, to the card you paid with.

Employers, universities and training providers

Credits, the ATS integration and graduate credits are bought by an organisation for its business, so the consumer right of withdrawal does not apply to them. Prices are shown before you pay.

A credit held by an ask to read comes back if the person declines, if you withdraw the ask, or if nobody answers within the time shown. An organisation reads only what the person approved, and every read is logged.

Your passport and your data

Your data stays yours. You decide who reads your passport, you can download all of it, and you can erase your account at any time. How we handle it is in the privacy policy.

If something goes wrong

We work to keep certo.bio available and correct, but we cannot promise it never fails. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits a liability the law does not let us limit, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you, we tell you by e-mail before it applies, and you can close your account if you do not agree. You can close your account at any time from Account.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
